Students who are part of the Foothills Fine Arts Academy Band Program will have the opportunity to study instrumental music in a traditional concert band setting. Students will study their own instrument as well as being instructed in ensemble playing techniques such as musicality, balance, blend, tone, and intonation. Members of the Foothills Band program perform at two traditional band concerts each year as well as the Cactus High School Junior High Band Night in the fall, the Cactus High School Parade of Bands in March, and the Peoria Arts & Cultural Festival in April. Members of our band program have been chosen to perform as part of the PUSD Junior High Honor Band as well as the PUSD Junior High Honor Jazz Band.
