Dear Centennial Parents and Athletes,
Due to the sustained rises in COVID-19 infection rates and recent announcements from Governor Ducey and the AIA, all Centennial summer athletic activities are immediately postponed through Sunday, July 12th. We will communicate if conditions improve to allow for the Phase 1 resumption of any camps and clinics.
As you know, yesterday Governor Ducey delayed the start of in-person schooling. In response, the Arizona Interscholastic Association delayed the start date of fall sports and indicated plans to create alternative sports schedules. Please click here to read the AIA's article.
All of this news obviously leaves us with many questions about athletics and school in general. Centennial and the Peoria Unified School District will continue to provide updates as soon as we have them. In the meantime, as you share this disappointing news with your Coyotes, please let them know that we look forward to seeing them back on campus, as soon as safely possible.
Sincerely,
Mr. JelovicAssistant Principal and Athletic Director
Mr. Hollabaugh
