Centennial has partnerships with Glendale Community College, and Gateway Community College. The Peoria Unified School District is very proud to be a partner with the Maricopa Community College District in a Dual Enrollment Program. This partnership makes it possible for students to enroll in selected courses and earn both high school and community college credit (dual enrollment).
Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment gives students the opportunity to earn college credit for taking a normal high school class. The student is not required to go to the college and does not have additional course work. The only difference between a student earning college credit and those who do not is if they complete ALL the Dual Enrollment steps by the deadlines.
Benefits of dual enrollment
- Save Money- class is free with for students eligible for the Maricopa Grant or $84 a credit verses $97+ per credit as a College student or $500+ per credit as a University student
- Save Time- students do not need to take the same class twice
- Get Ahead- some CeHS graduates go to college with their 1st year of college completed
