Foothills Elementary School is home of Peoria Unified's Fine Arts Academy, a tuition-free visual and performing arts program made up of 3 components: Arts Learning, Arts Education, and the Arts Academy.

Arts Learning 

The fine arts are integrated into classroom instruction with an emphasis of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Changing Education Through the Arts model.

Arts Education

Students K-4 attend art, dance, music, and drama classes as part of their school day.  They develop a general depth of knowledge in these art forms.

Fine Arts Academy

Students in 5th - 8th grade have the opportunity to audition to specialize in one of our five academy programs: Band, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, or Vocal Music.  Students will develop in-depth knowledge and skills in the program they specialize in.
