    At Ironwood, we work hard to offer many different opportunities, and we celebrate your success with the goal to build and prepare you for Life After Ironwood High School.  The IHS Career Center is here to answer questions, explain the process, and provide resources along the way to aid in your success.

    Here's your first list of resources to guide you on your path.  Now that you're at Ironwood, there isn't just one path, you have an opportunity to select your education and take ownership of your next 4 years. 

    1. Get Involved and start developing leadership skills, making new friends, and developing your interests.
    2. Prepare, Plan, and Progress through your 4 years at Ironwood.
      • Check out our Counseling Resources Page.  This dynamic team will register you for your classes, support your academic growth, and guide you through your next 4 years. IHS also provides Student Support Services for any student on campus who needs social and emotional support as well as community resources.  Some other links that are important: IHS Bookstore where you pay your fees, Transportation Department to find out about bus routes, and of course to Pre Pay for Lunch.
      • Discover and learn about different career options on the IHS Career Center's Career Exploration Page, through School Links, or by taking the ASVAB test.
      • Did you know you could start earning College Credit for some of the classes you take here on the Ironwood Campus?  The program is called Dual Enrollment.

    3. Before you Graduate, what's your plan?
      • Did you know you could graduate with your professional certificates so that you are able to go directly into the workforce After Ironwood?  Check out and discover many different Academic Paths/Programs and paths like CTE, West-MEC, or start your Higher Institution preparedness with The MET Professional Academy.
      • Are you looking at enlisting in the U.S. Military.  We have many of the branches come to our campus to answer your questions.
      • Are you interested in attending a 2 year or 4 year institution?  Check out the College Information tab on the Career Center's Website and our College Admissions Poster.
      • Wondering how to pay for a college or a trade school?  Make sure you complete your FASFA your Senior Year, and visit the Scholarship Tab.
      • Additional help you'll find in the Career Center: Jasmine from Elevated EdAz. She's on our campus to help support you with Dual Enrollment, CTE Programs, Internships and more.  We also have Be A Leader Foundation with Ironwood's Be A Leader Club, where we plan college activities and attend workshops.
