    • New to Ironwood?
    • Ironwood has partnerships with Glendale Community College, and Gateway Community College.   The Peoria Unified School District is very proud to be a partner with the Maricopa Community College District in a Dual Enrollment Program. This partnership makes it possible for students to enroll in selected courses and earn both high school and community college credit (dual enrollment).

      Fall 2025

      • GCC Classes- Please Check Back for more details
      • Gateway Community College Classes

      Important dates:

      • 8/22- GCC will be having workshops all day at IHS Campus to support Dual Enrollment. Please make sure you have your documents prepared.
      • 8/27-Priority Maricopa Grant & PCPP Grant Deadline
      • 9/3- Dual Enrollment Registration Final Deadline
      • 9/24-Dual Enrollment Payment Deadline 5pm.

What are the Benefits of Dual Enrollment?

      1. Dual Enrollment allows students to earn college credits while they are still in high school. This means that when students start college, whether at a university or a community college, they already have some of the credits they need towards a degree.

      2. As a high school student, the cost of taking college courses is reduced through the partnership with PUSD & Maricopa Community College Dual Enrollment Program.

      3. As a dual enrollment student, you have access to the same resources as other college students, including the tutoring center, fitness center, library and more.
