Traditional Elementary Summer School 2019

Peoria Unified Elementary Summer School is designed to reinforce a student’s current grade level curriculum (as of May 2019). The program is open to kindergarten through eighth grade students who need additional support in language arts and or math.
*This program is remedial and not for enrichment.

June 3rd-June 13th, Monday-Thursday, 7:45 a.m. - Noon

June 17th-June 27th, Monday-Thursday, 7:45 a.m. - Noon

Registration
Students will register at their current school site, April 15th through May 30th. After May 30th, please register in the summer school office at Oakwood Elementary School. Enrollment is not complete until payment is received and verified.
Parents should meet with their student’s teacher to obtain information indicating the course they intend to take.
Payments
Once a student has registered at their school site, online payments can be made through ParentVue. Cash, Checks, and Money orders will only be accepted at the District Administration Office located at 6330 W. Thunderbird Road, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (All Peoria Unified offices closed on Fridays beginning May 31st)
Fees (per session): $150 / student
Out-of-District Fee: $200 / student (non-refundable)
*Financial assistance (scholarship, payment plan, etc.) is NOT available for Summer School 2019.

Refund Policy
A maximum refund of $125 will be given if the Summer School office is notified prior to the first day of each session. Withdrawals on the first day of class will receive a maximum refund of $100. *No refunds will be given after the first day of class.
Attendance
It is important that students be present and on time every day. Please call the summer school office to let them know if your student will be late or out for the day at (623) 412-4728.

Class Lists
Class lists with teacher’s names; room numbers and a map of the facility will be posted by 7:30am in the main office at Oakwood Elementary on the first day of Summer School. An information letter will also be sent home on the first day of class with school phone numbers, expectations, etc.
Discipline
Summer School is a choice educational opportunity supported by tuition. Students who create disruptions during learning time will be disciplined for inappropriate behavior. A parent conference will be held to determine if the student should continue in the program.
