PEORIA UNIFIED TEACHER JOB FAIR: INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE!

Peoria, Ariz.- The Peoria Unified School District is hosting a Teacher Job Fair from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at Centennial High School, 14388 N. 79th Avenue, Peoria in the gym. Peoria Unified is inviting passionate educators to attend the Teacher Job Fair and learn how Peoria Unified supports them in their career. From competitive compensation to potential career growth, Peoria Unified has something to offer employees at every stage of their teaching journey.
Peoria Unified provides teachers with a unique support system as they begin their careers in the district and all throughout their teaching journey. All new teachers in Peoria Unified experience New Teacher Orientation and coaching from expert curriculum and instructional coaches. These coaches provide ongoing professional development for teachers throughout the school year.
At the Teacher Job Fair, interviews will be conducted on-site and interested candidates will be able to meet principals and other staff from throughout the district. Peoria Unified’s Human Resources team will be at the event to assist with certification questions. Letters of intent may be offered to select candidates at the Teacher Job Fair.
Maggie Woodyear, an eighth-grade teacher at Kachina Elementary School shared her reason for choosing teaching as her career pathway. “The students. I love seeing how they grow every year as young adults and learners. Providing the support and teaching students ELA gives me a sense of satisfaction and happiness I didn't have with my previous employment.”
Liberty High School teacher, Mark Wood, also shares his reason why. “As a teacher, my mission is to develop open-mindedness to provide the students freedom and inspiration to become lifelong learners who explore ideas and subjects through curiosity, spend time in reflection, examine existing beliefs, and then test those assumptions to see their flaws.”
