Veterans Day

Students, staff, families and community members across the Peoria Unified School District work together to honor and celebrate all military personnel, first responders and their families on Veterans Day. The following is a list of all Peoria Unified 2023 Veterans Day events. If you are a veteran, active duty military, first responder or family member and would like to be honored/have your loved one honored at one of these events, please call the school directly to RSVP.

Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023

Alta Loma Elementary

A Veterans Day Barbecue Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the multipurpose room. There will also be a silent auction in which proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project and Soldier's Best Friend.

Beginning at 7:15 a.m., the Student Council will provide a breakfast for veterans. Then, at 8:05 a.m., veterans will parade through the halls where they can be celebrated by students and staff. Concluding in the multipurpose room, there will be a reading of the history of Veterans Day along with a military display and recognition from the principal.
