University High

  • Location: Sunrise Mountain High School
    Grades: 9-12

University High is an accelerated program that starts during a student's ninth-grade year. Students take the most rigorous courses that Sunrise Mountain offers, choosing an endorsement area in Language/History or STEM (Math/Science). In its design, it will recognize individual student interests and goals, allowing flexibility for attendance at certain institutions of higher education and the simultaneous earning of high school and college/university credit through a partnership with Grand Canyon University.

In addition to the academic program consisting of Honors and College Board Advanced Placement courses, students will be required to participate in community service.

Evaluations will be based on successful completion of the freshman year including English I Honors or AIM English I and AIM Chemistry. Students must have a 3.25 GPA, and C's or better.
