Family Resource Center Registration
- Registration is required for all Peoria Unified Family Resource Center activities.
- All activities are offered free of charge.
- Registration opens on the 15th of each month for the following month's activities.
- Registration must be completed online. To register, you will need to open an account with Eleyo, our online registration system.

Play, Learn, Connect (PLC): Discover the power of play in a preschool setting. Watch as your child learns, explores their environment, and connects with other families. This is a great chance to bond with your child through interactive play and build relationships with the community.

Join us for a fun sensory play activity. We will splish and splash and talk about water safety for the summer. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes so that you can get wet!

Join us to celebrate Cinco De Mayo! Learn about the traditions of this special day that celebrates Mexican-American culture and a historical victory over opposing forces in 1862. We will have music, crafts and lots of fun! Ole!

The PAC is a group of parents, grandparents, caregivers, and community members, who come together to provide input on designing programs and services to meet the needs of the families in the community. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month, at Sky View FRC. You are welcome to join us for a meeting to see what it is all about! For more information, or if you are interested in joining, please sign up on Eleyo. Limited childcare is available. Please indicate the number of children you will be bringing in the comments section when registering.
Letter Find:
Letters are everywhere! Help your child build their letter recognition as we “search” for letters in a variety of ways and places!

Step Up to Learning: This is a 6-week series that begins in April. Registration was filled in the previous registration period.

“Brains are built, not born.” Come join us for play designed to help strengthen skills in all developmental areas! This class will have a theme based on a toddler level book.

Bee Blast: Thursday, May 8th @ Alta Loma 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Learn all about the lifecycle and power of bees! In this engaging class we’ll learn how these busy pollinators help flowers grow and make delicious honey. “Buzz” on in for fun crafts and other activities.

Moms and Minis: Friday, May 9th @ Alta Loma AND Sky View 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Join us for this fun Mother’s Day Celebration! We’ll celebrate all moms as we make lovely crafts and enjoy a snack together. We will have similar activities at each site on this day to accommodate as many as possible.

PLAY Art and Yoga Class: Monday, May 12th @ Alta Loma 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Play’s Yoga and Mindfulness classes offer Families a unique experience combining yoga and mindfulness in a developmentally appropriate way to support the success of all children and families . Classes incorporate five key elements: Connect, Breathe, Move, Focus and Relax. Through these elements children will enjoy yoga, art, music and movement!

In this hands-on art adventure, little artists will use clay, nature items, and recycled materials to create 3D masterpieces inspired by spring!

The Phoenix Zoo is coming to You! Join us for a fun, interactive program with live animals from the Phoenix Zoo. Learn all about the animals and their habitats through stories, activities, and hands-on demonstrations.

Fiesta Yoga: Thursday, May 15th 10-11 a.m. @ Rio Vista Recreation Center
Come join us for a themed children's yoga class! Using all the benefits of traditional yoga, this class is uniquely designed for children, incorporating movement, music, and meditation. This month’s yoga will incorporate a “fiesta” theme.

Water Play: Thursday, May 15th @ Sky View 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Join us to “cool down” with some water play! Enjoy various sensory activities using water as our base. Be sure to dress comfortably in something you can get wet.

Sensory play gives children an opportunity for sensory exploration as they engage in activities involving touch, sound, smell, and sight. This month's sensory play will have a spring theme. Come dressed for messy fun and exploration.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital Safe Sleep Class: Wednesday, May 21st @ Sky View 10-11 a.m.
Join Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Prevention Team to learn how to create a safe sleeping environment for your child. Participants must be expecting or have a baby under 6 months or age and weighing under 20 lbs. During the class, participants will receive and put together a pack – n – play for their child.
Ages: Adults that are either expecting or have a baby under 6 months old or weighing under 20lbs.

Join us for a fun fitness class for parents and their little ones. Where comfortable clothing so that you can move and groove and learn new ways to encourage physical activity in your family.

Join us at the FRC at both sites for some April Fool’s fun! We will play games and come up with some “April Fools” to try out at home. The activities will be similar at both sites, so please be sure to only sign up for one site or the other.

Musicology: Three Week Series: Tuesday 4/8, 4/15, and 4/22 @ Alta Loma
In a fun and engaging atmosphere, children will explore musical instruments, creative movement, dancing and singing. They will be exposed to beats and rhythms spanning different eras and various parts of the world. This is a 3-week series. By signing up, you are committing to the three-week series.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital Water Safety: Wednesday, April 9th @ Sky View 10-11 a.m.
This water safety class is designed to teach individuals the essential skills and knowledge needed to stay safe in and around water. The class typically covers topics such as recognizing potential hazards, providing supervision around water, and understanding water-related emergencies. Participants are taught the importance of swimming skills, proper use of life jackets, and the dangers of extreme weather conditions. Families who attend may receive a child size life jacket. Childcare will be provided on site.

Playdough Power: Squishing, rolling, sculpting, molding . . . young children love to play with playdough. And they do not even realize they’re developing their fine motor, cognitive, social and language skills! This month’s playdough power will have a heart theme.

World Wildlife Zoo Family/Child Field Trip: Friday, April 11th @ 9:00 a.m.
Join the FRC and your friends at the World Wildlife Zoo for a fun day out! We will meet at the entrance and then you can go and explore with your family and friends. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, water, and snacks. The park does have rides; however, these are only available for an additional cost. There is also a café on site with food for purchase.
Rainbow Rascals: Monday, April 14th @ Alta Loma 10-11 a.m. AND Tuesday, April 15th @ Sky View 10-11 a.m.
Rainbow Rascals is a fun and engaging class designed for young children to explore their creativity through art and sensory activities. In this class, kids will dive into colorful, hands-on activities that stimulate their senses, from painting, to coloring, to tactile fun.

Monarch Madness is an exciting class that combines the wonders of science with the creativity of crafts! In this class, children will learn about the fascinating life cycle of monarch butterflies through reading and engaging arts and crafts projects.

Positive Parenting: Thursday, April 17th @ Sky View 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program ® is a parenting and family support system designed to help children to realize their potential. Triple P fits the needs of every family, whether they are struggling with temper tantrums or sleeping patterns, parents in conflict with their child or with each other, or have children with additional needs, including those struggling with their mental health. Triple P programs draw on social learning, cognitive behavioral and developmental theory, in addition to research into risk factors associated with the development of social and behavioral problems in children. We equip parents with the skills and confidence they need to be able to manage any family issue. Join us for an informal presentation, Q&A session given by FRC staff that are Triple P Accredited. All participants will receive tip sheets to take home that include all concepts covered in class.

Egg-cellent Art: Wednesday, April 23rd @ Sky View 10-11 a.m.
Egg-cellent Arts is a creative and playful class where young children explore the world of art through the fun and surprising medium of eggs! From painting and decorating to crafting with egg shapes, kids will use their imagination to create unique and colorful masterpieces. This class encourages hands-on learning, fine motor development, and creativity, all while having fun with egg-themed projects.
Ages: 1-5 Duration: 1 hour
Step Up to Learning : Wednesdays – April 23, 30 and May 7th, 14, 21st and 28th
Step Up to Learning is a unique, 6-week course that uses sensory exploration and social interactions to support he development of children’s approaches to learning—which are strategies that children utilize to “learn how to learn.” The activities in this series help children to draw upon their curiosity, persistence, and creativity to gather information and solve problems. Together, the activities help children to develop their sustained attention, impulse control, and flexibility in thinking—all while having fun! This is a 6-week series. By registering for the class, participants are committing to the 6-week experience.
Ages: 3-5 Duration: 1 hour per week for 6 weeks

El Dia Del Nino Celebration: Wednesday, April 30th 5:30 p.m. @ Alta Loma
Join us for a fun-filled celebration of Día del Niño, a special day dedicated to honoring and celebrating young children! This exciting event will feature a variety of games, interactive activities, and crafts that are sure to delight little ones. Kids can enjoy getting up close with animals at our petting zoo, participate in fun, themed games, and explore hands-on activities that spark creativity and learning. With plenty of smiles, laughter, and surprises, Día del Niño is a perfect way to celebrate childhood and create lasting memories. Bring the whole family for a day of joy and togetherness!
