Bus Rider Registration Frequently Asked Questions

If I am a family who is new to the district, how do I know if my child is qualified to ride the bus?

You must ask the school registrar in your child's front office before downloading the Edulog Parent Portal App. Once you check in with the school registrar, you may need to wait 24–48 hours before downloading the Edulog Parent Portal app before your child's bus route appears in the app.

If I am a family who has an eighth grader going into high school, how do I know if my child is qualified to ride the bus?

Bussing eligibility changes for high school students compared to elementary students. High school students may walk up to 1.5 miles before becoming eligible for bussing services. High school students may also cross major streets, unlike elementary school students. If your home address is 1.5 miles away from the high school or more, your child is likely eligible to ride the bus to school. You may download the Edulog Parent Portal app and register your child for bussing services. It may take up to two business days to have the Transportation staff approve the request and if your child is eligible, their bus information will appear the week before school begins.

If you have questions or are uncertain if your child is eligible, you should reach out to the high school or Transportation department directly to find out your child's eligibility. You can reach Transportation at 623-773-6600.

I have downloaded the Edulog Parent Portal app and do not see any bus information for my child. Why is there no bus route information?

Bussing information is loaded into the system the week before school begins. If you have downloaded the Edulog Parent Portal app during the school year, and it has been more than 48 business hours, please contact your child's school and inquire with the school registrar to verify if your child is eligible for bus services. If your child is eligible, and it has been more than 48 business hours since you downloaded the app and there is still no information listed, please contact the Transportation department at 623-773-6600.

My child has special needs, do I still need to register them as a bus rider?

No, bus rider registration only applies to general education students. If your student has an IEP, their transportation is covered in the IEP.
